What to Pack

Your complete safari packing guide. Check off items as you pack for a stress-free departure.

1

Colors Matter

Stick to neutral colors (khaki, olive, tan, brown). Avoid white (gets dirty), black/navy (attracts tsetse flies), and bright colors (may startle wildlife).

2

Layering is Key

Temperatures can vary dramatically from chilly mornings (15C) to hot midday (30C+). Dress in layers you can easily add or remove.

3

Luggage Limits

Light aircraft have strict weight limits (usually 15-20kg). Use soft-sided bags that can be compressed. Hard suitcases are not recommended.

4

Camera Gear

Bring a camera with at least 200mm zoom. A bean bag for stabilizing shots is invaluable. Always have spare batteries charged.
